We know it’s important for you to keep control of your business – that’s the whole point of Exact. But you’ve also told us you want to call the shots when it comes to the software itself, so here are a few tips to help. My Exact Online makes it easy to manage your account and tailor Exact to your own tastes.
1. Personalise Exact in User settings
To start with, let’s get Exact looking (and sounding) the way you want. Just go to User settings to personalize your start page. Change your language. Even hide menus you don’t use to cut down the clutter.
2. Stay secure in Privacy control
You’ll obviously want to keep all that valuable business data as safe as possible. Exact servers offer unsurpassed levels of cyber security, but you can help too. Make sure you change your password on a regular basis in Privacy control.
3. See innovations first with Early Access
Enable Early Access and you’ll be among the privileged users who preview and take advantage of the latest innovations before they even launch. You’ll not only enjoy the opportunity to get to know to them at your own pace. You’ll also be able to provide feedback, helping to make sure every new feature is as perfect as possible for general release.
4. Businesses – work more closely with your accountant
The more closely you work with your accountant, the more value they can offer. First of all, you need to connect: click on your Username and select Link my accountant. Once that’s taken care of, go into My accountant to define how you want to collaborate, what you want your accountant to take care of, even ask a direct question straight from your interface.
5. Accountants – work more closely with your clients
My clients keep you on top of things. All the information you need about every client is clearly displayed in a single, at-a-glance overview. You can even export it all to Excel if you so desire. And you can also invite new clients to join the party and connect once you’ve brought them onboard.
6. Double check your details in My subscription
See how many users and companies your subscription covers. Flex it up or down. Check your latest invoices. Yes, it’s true. You can do all that and more all in one place. Just click on My subscription.
7. Get in touch at any time via My Exact communication
If you can’t seem to find the answer to a question you asked last year, no problem. Your communications with Exact are all saved in My Exact communication. And if you want to ask us something new, you’ll also find all the contact information you’re likely to need. We look forward to hearing from you!
