Our navigation is launching soon, although it’s been available on Early Access since the start of October. That’s given thousands of you the chance to try it out, see what you think and get back to us with your feedback.
Honed to perfection
And after a little tweaking here and some fine-tuning there, the new-look nav is now ready to go on general release. You’ll see the countdown at the top of your interface, after which the current design will disappear into the ether forever. So now is the time to see what you think and start getting used to the latest look. Here are a few of the things you’ll discover…
First of all, you should find you can now get to where you want to go more quickly and intuitively. Simply move your cursor over any tab to reveal a menu for that particular section. And with all the links you’re likely to need grouped together in a single place, you should be able to go directly to the information you need.
You may also notice the company name has moved to the top left of the layout. The main header has also been given a bit of a makeover. But the idea is to make relevant info easier to see as well as easier on the eye. It means you can now make sure you’re in the right place and looking at the right data in a glance.
Check out the top right menu and you’ll discover a few more subtle but sensible enhancements. Take the general options such as User name, Help and Search. They’ve now been separated out from more specific work-based links to Create, Documents and Activities. OK, so it won’t bring the world to a standstill. But it will make using Exact Online a little bit easier.
Finally, those of you with an eye for color will notice the menus now come in a rather attractive shade of blue. Hopefully you’ll agree this makes them stand out even more – and makes it easier to find the section you need. Heck, even the fonts have evolved with larger size text highlighting important features to enhance navigation even further.
