First things first, let’s be clear about what we mean by dashboards. Performance dashboards communicate status, evaluate progress and justify business decisions. They usually fall into three main categories: strategic, operational or analytical.
- Strategic dashboards: provide the big picture on the health of a company: e.g. revenue trends, sales opportunities or profitability per product category.
- Operational dashboards: display more process-focused information such as outstanding invoices, upcoming purchase payments or maximizing production rates.
- Analytical dashboards: may be strategic, operational or tactical but include more predictive, prescriptive and deeper insights that would otherwise be hidden.
As SMEs continue to generate more and more data, it can present a couple of major challenges. First of all, how do you manage large volumes of information in an efficient way? And second, how can you effectively leverage that information? We’re currently working on a new development to help.
Help is at hand
We’re making My Dashboard far more intuitive and easy to use. By the time we’re finished, it will allow you to gain insight into every aspect of your business by selecting from a range of customizable KPI widgets including CRM, financial, sales and purchasing. And next year we plan to make that list even longer to include manufacturing.
Everything becomes clear
It means you’ll get a clear picture of your business performance at a glance, with a single page displaying the KPIs that matter to you. In short, the new My Dashboard will deliver the order, transparency and insight you need to drive success and grow your business.
