We had a great time last week at the Scaling New Heights Conference in New Orleans, which took place June 21-24 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel and Conference Center and attracted more than 1,000 accounting professionals and other business advisors. The conference organizers at Intuit always put on a fantastic show, take care of attendees and sponsors, and make us feel like true partners. It was great meeting with our customers, partners, prospects and members of the press. We even had the opportunity to experience authentic New Orleans life with great food (including gumbo and beignets!) and of course live music. Here’s a quick recap of the event, highlighting key takeaways:
- There was a strong focus on cutting-edge professional education and new, emerging technologies that will help accounting professionals provide better services to their clients. As always, cloud continued to be a huge focus this year.
- We conducted many demos of our industry solutions (manufacturing and wholesale) that integrate with QuickBooks Online. We saw a lot of familiar faces, but also met new ones who were excited to hear about our solutions.
- We also saw a lot of interest in our new Project Management solution for professional services firms. We’re excited to continue the conversation with accountants and other business advisors on how this solution can fit into their, or their clients’ businesses.
- Every year, we see more and more companies choosing to utilize QuickBooks Online and the cloud as opposed to Desktop. While Intuit will not abandon Desktop and its many users, it is clear that the company is focusing very much on QuickBooks Online, which we’re happy to see at Exact Online!
