Just when you were probably thinking life simply couldn’t get more exciting, well, you’re going to have to think again. Because we’re bringing our main menu bang up to date with a new year makeover. Just the very thought of it takes your breath away, right?
Get ready for the next step
Remember how we updated our menu at the end of last year? Well, we’re ready to take the next step. And before you literally explode with the anticipation, let’s reveal what you can expect.
Fewer links, more focus
For a start, it’s going to be far easier to find what you need. Say goodbye to duplicate links. And bid farewell to the ones you never seemed to click. Fewer links. More focus. But simplicity is just the start.
The menu is also going to get a lot more consistent. Consistent terminology, so an overview is always an overview for example. And a consistent structure, with similar grouping for every tab.
Clearer from top to bottom
At the top of each tab you’ll now see the main elements in a particular process, including entry and specific reports. And at the bottom, you’ll see Analysis and results. That’s where you’ll find the links that provide 360° information on the entire process. Which in turn means faster access to the data that supports better business decisions.
What’s this? A new tab too!
Speaking of tabs, we’ve also introduced a brand new one to bring together all your contact information in one place. Just look under Accounts to find the number of a customer you need to call, or the email of a supplier whose delivery seems to have gone AWOL.
Just for accountants: Multi-client and client-specific info is now clearly separated
When you view a client’s company, you’ll now see the same menu structure exactly as your client sees it. So you’ll both be on the same page – literally. And if you’re looking for multi-client information and tools, that’s just got easier too. All the information you need is now grouped together under the Accountancy tab, just a click away from your main company.
We couldn’t do it without you
Needless to say we didn’t just cook up these changes in our board room. The improvements have all been inspired by our users, with almost 600 of you helping us to refine the redesign in usability tests. These tests showed the new menu helps you find a list of customers, on average, 6 seconds faster. And the number of people who could easily find the right Profit and loss statement doubled. So we’re pretty sure you’ll notice a significant improvement too.

If you keep your wits about you and can stand the adrenaline rush, you can be among the first to try out the new menu in Early Access. Just look for a blue banner announcing the news.
