Tips & Tricks – Customize your screen to see things your way
0There’s more to Exact than meets the eye at first glance. For example, almost every screen displays a toolbox icon in the top right corner. Click on the toolbox and you’ll open up a range of options that allow you to personalize almost every page.
1. Tab filters
To start with, you can easily define the information you want to see. Use the filters to display only the high value data you access on regular basis, for example. That helps to optimize the size of the page so it loads more quickly on mobile devices. And it may be important if you want to export the report.
2. Tab columns
Selecting the columns you want to see allows every user to customize the screen the way they want it. So each can instantly access the information most relevant to them. You can even drag and drop columns into your preferred order, while the Group by option makes the display even more intuitive.
3. Entry fields
If the filter and columns tab aren’t available on a particular screen, you still have the option to personalize the page. Simply check the boxes of the fields you’d like to display and untick those you don’t need.
4. Date and time
In some screens, the toolbox icon shows you the date and time the content was created as well as the last changes made to it. It even tells you who made the changes and when if you have any questions. Very useful when you work with multiple users.
5. Export/Print
If a screen offers the option to export and/or print the information on display, you will find that option is also safely stored in the toolbox. Before you do go ahead and print or export, remember to select the data you need in the order you prefer as explained in step 2.
Ready to make it personal?
The capability to customize each screen allows you to make sure the high value information you need is always right there whenever you need it. It makes Exact faster to use, helping you to work more efficiently and speed up decision-making. Why not give it a try, and start making your Exact look the way you want it?
